credits It's a book that challenges accepted history 11 "1 11 1 1 1 1 0 i Beginning this year taxpayers who have retired because of a permanent and total disability before reaching age 65 and mandatory retirement age may be eligible for a tax credit Previously these persons were allowed an adjustment to income The credit is subject to certain income limitations and can be used as much as $750 for a single person or $1125 if both persons filing a joint return qualify Taxpayers can determine if they are eligible for the credit by using Schedule (Form 1040) Credit for the Elderly and the Permanently and Totally Disabled Internal Revenue Service's free publications 524 "Credit for the Elderly and the Permanently and Totally Disabled" contains more details on the credits The publication can be ordered via the 24-hotline toll-free forms line number listed in the telephone book white pages under US Government the "blackrobes" (as the Indians called the missionaries) The blackrobes then tried to convert the "heathen Indians" since they saw the Indian as a primitive with "pagan" customs and rituals Blinded by their own prejudices the missionaries were unable to see the deeply challenges your previously-accepted versions of history Perhaps the most thought-provoking book along this vein that I have read recently is "He Walked The Americas" by Taylor Hansen This is a highly original book inspired when the author heard of a Polynesian legend which described a prophet or healer who traveled through the Polynesian Islands teaching theology and agriculture The author corresponded with a Dr Buck curator of the Bishop Museum in Hawaii and Dr Buck confirmed the legend Buck stated that the ancient legends are still chanted in some of the remote islands of the Wakea Waikano Lord of the wind and water the dawn god the Pale One Heah-wah-sah and Quetzel-Coatl As to the identity of this prophet it has been speculated that it was Thomas Didymus or an Essene who worked with Jesus The prophet is not thought to be Jesus however Still who he was is not that important The important point as I see it is that the Indians of the Americas were exposed to the teachings of Jesus near the time Jesus was on the earth That same teaching once filtered through approximately 1600 years of European cultural variation came again to the American Indians in the form of Tahitian group The legends speak of the prophet called Wakea the Healer who dressed in a white toga-like garment was bearded had grey-green eyes and wore long hair Wakea is said to have moved among the Polynesians in the first century of the Christian era or generally speaking in the time of Jesus Further research by Hansen revealed that Wakea brought seeds and plants and taught of the One God who ruled the heavens and whose law was "Love One Another" Hansen thus embarked on a research project to see if any Indian tribes of the Americas had similar legends To her amazement she found the same story in the folklore and legends of numerous tribes The prophet or healer was always described as white-robed whose sign was the cross or and who established a priest hood (usually of 12 leaders) and who taught a hieratic language to the initiates Hansen traces through the ancient stories the footsteps of the prophet through the Polynesians to Peru Brazil Guatemala the east coast of Mexico and then north into the Mississippi basin where the mound culture once flourished The trail then leads through the East and West of what is now the US The legends of the Cherokee the Pawnees the Seneca
