Roger Kramer officiated at the evening service, as Sandi Faber of Grand Rapids attended the bride as maid of honor, and Michael Waldyke of Berkeley served as best man. Others in the wedding ceremony were Patty Dykstra of Monrovia, Megan Orr of Fullerton, Jeannette Papazian of Altadena, and Lynn Swets of Holland, as bridesmaids, and serving as ushers were Michael Walters, Ken Gray and Jim Hertblenc, all from Grand Rapids, along with Mark Berkompas, brother of the bride, from San Diego. Mandi Kramer, daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Roger Kramer of Arcadia, was flower girl, and Shane McCollistek, son of Sheri Sharman of Arcadia, was the ring bearer.

The bride wore a Victorian style gown fashioned with a Venise lace bodice accented with pearls and a sweetheart neckline. The three-quarter length sheer sleeves lace accents and the silk organza skirt extended into a cathedral length train. A tulip shaped cap held her two-tier veil and she carried an arm bouquet of white roses with pink variegated carnations and white cymbidium orchids. Attendants were in rose taffeta, their sleeveless gowns featuring sweetheart necklines, cummerbunds, and flat shoulder bows. They wore wreaths of baby's breath in their hair and each carried three pink roses with fern and ribbon.

A reception followed at Howard Johnson's in Monrovia. The bride is a 1981 graduate of Monrovia High School, where she was a CSF Seal Bearer. She will be graduated in 1985 from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, where she is in the bacheler of science in nursing program and where she sang in "His Own" Choir. Wynsma, a 1984 graduate of Calvin College and a computer science Major, also sang with "His Own." He is now with Business Data in Grand Rapids.
