interesting year Mrs Sandy Neill who has served as president during the past season of club work greeted guests at the dinner in the Yugoslav Clubhouse Guests attending were Miss Sandra Lockmann Mmes Dick Rees and Barbara Elliot It was reported that 22 Lady Lions attended the Division Chamber of Commerce Christmas luncheon Mrs Holman Howe prepared the decoration entry using the Altadena Christmas Tree Lane theme Mrs James Stewart is chairman of an installation party for the officers elect to be held Jan 20 at the Jumping Jack Mrs Ira Kaye reported that the dates of March 3 and 10 had been chosen for the performance of the Laughter at the Louvre production The best wishes of the group were extended by Mrs Millie Trani to Mrs Iris Perez who is leaving to make her home in Phoenix Mrs Perez a charter member devotedly served in many offices and chairmanships during the clubs 11 year of Mrs Trani said Mrs Neill thanked the members for their help making the year 1961 a happy and outstanding addition to the history of Lady Mrs Fred Lebsack program chairman and president-elect introduced the SouthShores Four a Barbershop Quartet directed by Rollo West They gave a program of well known songs and carols The evening concluded with games followed with a festive punch prepared by Mrs Ed Landry Monetary gifts and canned goods were donated by the women for the Christmas welfare program Three purposes were celebrated by the Lomita Day Tops Club at a party in the home of Mrs William Porter 14 Stallion Road Rolling Hills The group noted the anniversary of its founding celebrated Christmas and installed officers Mrs Fran McCrosson charter president was installed to lead the club for the coming year Also on the board will be Mrs Arthur Heacock of San Pedro Mrs Donald Moritz SouthShores and Mrs Porter who will serve her second term as treasurer A low calorie luncheon was served and gifts exchanged by the members The club which meets weekly at Lomita Park takes its name TOPs from the slogan Off Pounds weekly charting of weights and measurement exercises and supervised diet our members have been very successful in meeting their said Mrs McCrosson The president has lost 40 pounds of weight since she began club activities A new series of contests to Inspire the members will begin after the holidays she announced Anyone interested in club activities may visit
