JCC GROUP TO OPEN DANCE SERIES TONIGHT The Jewish Community Center Dance committee, headed by Mrs. Sol Lobe, will conduct a series of three master dance classes during the coming year. Leading off the first class tonight at 8 o'clock in the Center will be Jo Villane, choreographer and jazz dancer.

Passing Show Fred Russell Metro and Cinerama To Film 'Grand Prix' 'Grand Prix," a John Franken- heimer, Douglas and Lewis Production will be filmed in the single-lens Cinerama process and color and described as a spectacular and definitive motion pic- ure about international automobile racing, will be financed and distributed by Metro-Goldwyn- Mayer, it was jointly announced by Robert H. O'Brien, president of Metro-Goldwyn-Maycr and William Forman, president of Ciner- ama. Frankcnheimer will direct and Edward Lewis will produce from a screenplay by Robert Alan Aurthur. Negotiations arc under way for Rock Hudson to star in the film but no deal has been set.

Contracted by Frankenheimer Productions-Douglas and Lewis Productions are Grand Prix de Monace at Monte Carlo, Grand Prix of Italy at Monza, Grand Prix of Belgium at Spa, Grand Prix of Holland at Zandevoord, Grand Prix of England at Brands racing sites the world over, a Hatch, Grand Prix of Germany because of the global nature of the. sport and the cosmopolitan plot'which has much the flavor of the classic "Grand Hotel" pattern, will have a cast of international stars. In addition, Frankenheimer and Lewis revealed they have completed one of the most extensive world-wide tie-ups ever put together for a major motion picture. They have signed exclusive two-year tie-ups with all the European Grand Prix race circuits and with the only important Eu- at Nurburg Ring and Grand Prix of France at Rouen.

The endurance races include the 24 hours of Le Mans Targa Floria in Sicily and the 12 hours of Reims. All the organizers involved have not only given Frankenheim- er and Lewis the exclusive rights to film at their circuits but they have also agreed not to allow any other-motion picture company to film on their circuits or use their names for the duration of the Frankenheimer and Lewis contract.
