And women who use STAR OLIVE OIL know that there is no such thing as a dull meal that STAR will lend distinction to the simplest dish and make it interesting.

This pure, light oil, so delicious as a salad oil, a cooking oil, a sauce base, accents the natural flavors of foods, never overwhelms them. One taste, and you'll always use STAR! o7 FUN WITH FOOD A Regularly Advertised Feature Start Easter Sunday on a bright note with a big glass of TEA GARDEN GRAPE JUICE for everybody TEA GARDEN is the jujfe of sweet, plump Concord grapes, full-strength, nothing added, because with this good grape juice, nothing else is needed for a superlative drink with that fresh-from-the -grape flavor. Many households make a daily habit of TEA GARDEN GRAPE JUICE, not only at breakfast, but right around the clock. For economy buy the big, 46-ounce can that holds 16 servings! By Steele Hooper Judging by the reviews, the only novelty in "Bugles In The After-noon is the fact that Ray Milland, star of "Lost Weekend" and other sophisticated productions, is featured in a typical Western.

This cavalry-versus-lndians movie which is playing at the Del Mar Theater, is filled with action and beautiful scenery, but has a plot as old as Hollywood itself. The story has Milland as a cavalry officer stripped of his rank in the 1870s because of Hugh Marlowe, another officer. Milland heads west, re-enlists as a private, tinds himself under Marlowe's command. Thfi lattpr'c Victo land is intensified when the soldier fell in love with Marlowe's girl Helena Carter. The Sioux are on warpath, so Marlowe sends Milland on every dangerous mission, hoping he will be killed.

uTA New York Times observes that "a good, lusty battle sequence with the two enemies taking time out for one of their own closes the film, but not before "Bugles In The Afternoon" has already hitten the dust and hard A generally unimaginative scenario retelling an already time-worn tale, has been poked along with such leaden pretentiousness that this film should be given back to the Indians. But judging by the expressions of the contributing Sioux, they want no part of it." However, Boxoffice asks: "What matters it that the story is as full of cliches as a political speech? There's action, excitement, spectacle, gore, villainy and romance enough to gladden the hearts of derring-do devotees." Newsweek says: "Taking the good with the ridiculous and adding Technicolor this is a serviceable melodrama." Variety: "Average outdoor action feature." Cleveland Plain Dealer: "Fair escapist entertainment." Pretty much everyone agreef that Milland and Marlowe are more than adequate, that Forrest Tucker scores a triumph as a blustering Irish sergeant, but that Miss Carter talks and acts like a city slicker instead of a pioneer. However, there seems to have been some mistake in the shipment, and it has not arrived.

"At present we are living in a single officers' quarters while our own home Is being built. It is going to be a lovely, large house containing three bedrooms, dining room, living room, kitchen, pantry, bath, -front veranda, back porch, and a large yard for flowers and a vegetable garden. The house is being plastered on the outside. We are still waiting for some windows and piping to be shipped.
