No sign of 2nd winner in Super 7 HARRISBURG (AP) While one group wasted little time presenting their claim for half of a $63.9 million Super 7 jackpot, the second winner has yet to come forward. The Pennsylvania Lottery closed for the day and weekend Friday with no word on anyone filing a claim for the second winning ticket in Wednesday's drawing. There is no rush, however, as long as the ticket is kept safe. Without the ticket, there can be no claim.

Winners have a year from the date of the drawing to file a claim. Two sisters, their husbands and a friend filed the first claim Thursday for one of the two winning tickets. They are Larry Kelly of Seymour, Michael and Carol Pucillo, of West Orange, N.J; and Lou and Helen Miele, of Lake Ariel, Wayne County. Each of the two winning tickets is worth $1.2 million annually for 26 years, less 20 percent for federal taxes. Lottery officials said it would take until at least early next week to validate the first winning ticket.

Jet makes emergency landing WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) An American Airlines DC-9 with 27 people aboard made an emergency landing early today with no traffic controllers in the airport tower and with its primary electrical system down. No one was injured. It was the second jetliner forced to make an emergency landing in Iowa in less than a week. The pilot switched to his backup electrical system and the jetliner, en route from Chicago to Portland, landed safely, an American spokesman said. Police and fire units were standing by at the Waterloo Municipal Airport, but were not needed.

The plane. Flight 639, landed just after midnight, said Hagan Gibbs, area supervisor for the Waterloo tower. Hagan said the Waterloo tower is staffed only until 11 p.m. and no air traffic controllers were on duty at the time of the landing. He said regional controllers handled the emergency landing.

On Wednesday, a United Airlines DC-10 lost power over northwest Iowa and crashed while attempting an emergency landing at the Sioux City airport, killing 110 people. John Hotard, an American spokesman in Fort Worth. Texas, said the backup system allows the plane's electrical systems to function normally. The electrical system does not affect the aircraft's steering mechanism, which are controlled by hydraulic lines, he said. There were hydraulic problems in the Sioux City landing.

"Once he had a problem, the pilot immediately goes to air traffic control and declares an emergency." Hotard said. "At that point, they direct him to the nearest airport." Dr. Joseph V. Fescina, 217 N. Laurel Hazleton, died Friday at 5:10 p.m.
