unusual garb the members of the club entered into the spirit of the occasion with gay abandon and apparently derived as much pleasure from the Juvenile games a3 the children themselves Mrs Merle Pickering and her daughter Ida Mae Pickering directed the various activities with Mrs A Norton furnishing piano accompaniment for the musical games The feature of the evening was a burlesque boxing bout staged by two well-known members of the club whose antics in the ring created a riot of amusement Refreshments consisting of ice cream animal crackers and stick candy further recalled childhood days Later in the large reception room gifts of toys and novelties were distributed from the large tree Mrs Lizzie May Gentry chair' man of the evening was assisted by the presiding officer Ardys Ing-mire Edith Mahony Alvina Cook Mary Skifich and Ida Fawcett who served refreshments Christmas Festivities Enjoyed at Tietz Home A series of gay Christmas festivities brightened the holiday season for members of the Tietz family On Christmas eve at the home of Mr and Mrs A Riepe 740 Fourteenth street the annual Christmas tree party was held and gifts distributed to Mr and Mrs Tietz and Miss
