Wilcock of 100 Chestnut street, to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with several of their children and friends present. Mr. and Mrs. Wilcock were married in Leeds, Yorkshire, England, July 29, 1896 and came to California in 1903. For many years they lived at Alturas, Modoc county, the Oregon border in northeast California, where Wilcock was in railroad work.

Picnic Forty-three members of the O.E. S. and their families enjoyed a delightful day at Paradise Park Sunday. A bountiful picnic dinner was served at noon and during the hours following, members visited the George Jean summer home. Calvary Service Club Calvary Service club was entertained by Mrs.

Glad Tidings Picnic Saturday, July 27, will be a day of fellowship and recreation, fun for members and friends of the Glad Tidings church, as the day of the annual church and Sunday school picnic. Those desiring transportation plan to be at the church, Ocean street and Dakota avenue, at 9:45 a. m. This picnic was timed in keeping with the Sunday school children selling "bricks" for the new church edifice that is to be erected at Otis and Mission streets. The contest closed Sunday, with approximately $1000 worth having been sold at five cents a brick.

Hassayampa Council Installation Ceremony Hassayampa Council Degree of Pocahontas elected delegates to attend the Great Council to be held in Long Beach, at the council meeting July 19, in Native Sons hall, with Irejie Boomer, Pocahontas, presiding. They were Carrie Da Vico, Irene Boomer, and Belle Wolfe. Alternates elected were Margaret Harrell, Betty Pacini and Ann Harrell. Betty Pacini, recorder, gave a report of the district meeting held recently at Big Trees, when flags of the reservation were unfurled. Mrs.

Cora Lucky, a visitor from Sacramento, gave a talk on activities of her council, which was interesting to the members. The council voted to discontinue card parties and a vote of thanks was given to the committee which has successfully conducted them for the past two. years. At the conclusion of business, a drill was conducted by the district deputy. Closed installation wyi be held Friday evening.

Patent Office KnigKts Columbus Program July 27-28 Central California chapter Knights of Columbus will meet in the Redwood room of St. George hotel, Saturday evening, July 27 at 8 o'clock for an unofficial session.

Sunday morning at 8:30 o'clock the Knights and Squires will receive Holy Communion in a body at Holy Cross church. Following this they will be guests of the Young Ladies Institute at 9:30 o'clock breakfast in Holy Cross hall. At 1 p. m. the group will meet in Holy Cross hall for election and installation of officers.

The Knights and their ladies, Columbian Squires and the Y.L.I, will be guests at a dinner in Holy Cross hall at 5 o'clock. The Mothers club of the church will serve the dinner.
