very cultivated and appreciative audience The exercises of this Seminary are noted for the excellent order ot entertainment furnished The exercises were furnished by forty pupils of the primary departmento Its 'rendition was perhaps superior to anything of the kind that has ever been given in this city The children showed a wonderful familiarity with their parts and seemed to have lost that shyness which usually characteri zes those of their age in public The time kept was excellent and the chorus and the solos were sung with much spirit and effect The costumes were extremely pretty and unique The play as a whole I was a great swam and reflected much credit on Miss Margaret Treanor their charming teacher who for the past three months has devotd her undivided attention I to tbe play The principal parts were well done and were as follows King Houston Queen Dudley Pitcher Little Howell Chase Lord Barr Bankhead The chorus was composed of the following pretty little misses: Sandol rendition of the fascinating little peretta "Jack the Giabt Killer The vocal and instrumental music to part of which' the audience was treated before and a part after the operetta was especially good
