spring meeting is awakening Memphis at this period is attracting unusual attention due doubtless to the fact that there are about 200 horses here at the track aid the meeting of the new Memphis Jockey Club which commences April 25 will be the opening gun of the campaign of 1887 The prominence of the horses that have wintered here and their engagements in the principal stakes of the West and East naturally inclined your correspondent to wards the track which he visited this afternoon The course here is considered by trainers to be one of the very beet in the whole country It is never affected
