resulted in phenomenal good for our church and for the missionary causes The Pastor spoke last Sunday on "What Is That in Thine land?" which was a Stewardship message This week in cooperation with 30000 other Baptist churches our pecple gathered to study the stewardship books The outstanding feature of the week's program was a playlet "God's Arithmetic" directed by Mrs Fike which was given on Tuesday night Other features of the week included some fine musical numbers given by the young people under the direction of Mr Rose Sunday our pastor will speak on the subject "Why God ants His People To Tithe" You will want to hear this good message on this scriptural theme On Sunday November 1 Rev Elsey the Oklahoma County Baptist Hospital Chaplain will speak in the absence of our pastor who will be in a revival with the First Baptist Church of Bartlesville He too will speak on the importance of faithful Christian stewardship Also Sunday November 1 is the day on which we will have the special Sunday school lessons on the theme of stewardship and tithing We expect it to be taught in every class and every teacher to urge the pupils to help us reach our goal of November 8 is Victory Union convention will meet in Fort Worth Thanksgiving day and the two days 26-28 The convention will open its session Thursday morning at 10 o'clock The meetings will be held in the Will Rogers
