few persons who can afford to become tenants thereof upon the terms which the landlord's are compelled to offer hence Lord Salisbury's promisee to extend hope of relief to English landlords equal to that intended to be provided for Irish land-owners in the Irish Land Purchase bill are made with the purpose of appealing to the English land-bolded to work for the success ofthe Irish bill in the expectation of receiving benefits similar to times conferred by that measure The defeat of the Land Purchase bill would put an end to the hopes of relief entertained by the English landlords many of
