strain Some resolutions were offered and then withnrawn bearing upon the matter and the report's' the committee was then received and adopted Dr Van Lindsley read a paper on "Mastoid Diseme" which was discussed by Drs Powell and Wright Dr Hogan- of Alabama being present WAS invited to a seat as a visiting member Dr Taylot cat Memphis Chairman of the Committee on County Medical Organization made a report in regard to the Wort' of his committee Dr trite moved that the report be received and ordered printed and that the thanks of the society be extended to Dr Taylor for his able and conselentious efforts in behalf of organization Dr Berrien Lindsley said he desired to second tbe resolutionor if every member of the society did their duty as well as Dr Taylor it would be better for us Dr Wright Hoyle of Farmington the Secretary asked and obtained unanimous consent to move that there be an article added to the constitution providing that in tne absence of a quorum of the council the President be authorized to till the vacancy temporarily Carried And at the suggestion of the Seeretary Drs Richardson and Plunket were appointed to sit with Dr Glenn The council retired to the the State Board of Health and heard the -statement of both sides and reported that it was agreed by all parties concerned that Dr Hoyle be suspended for twelve months This report of the council was received and Dr Taylor offered a revolution in regard to medcei organization which was adopted and by a vote he was made Chairman of a committee on the subject DI Berrien Lindsley offered a resolution in repard to the "Dadtx Metlicus" which was adopted Dr A Swaney then read a valuable paper on "Cerebral Embolism" which was discussed by Dr maddin Dr If Washington offered a resolution as follows: Resolved that the thanks of this society are dde and are tendered to the young ladies Mies Anna Hall FrizzellMise Emma Johnson and Miss Fanny Dorman for their kindness in singing Tuesday night Nashville is to be congratulated in having such songs tars in her midst Unanimously adopted A resolution was adopted instructing the Publication Committee to comply wtth the law and drop names of members in arrears Also one memorializing the President to place the contingent expenditure fund in the bands of the National Board of Health Dr Sharber of Spring Hill then read a short clinical paper which wait referred to
