comprehensive and ciatecuplates the building of a dyke along the Lick Branch from Chen to Summer street This dyke is to have two walls of masonry cemented and watertight and the backing or filling is toi-Je of dirt or sand 4 and gravel This dyke is to be provided 1 with a series lif traps or trunks that will l' permit the water that collects in the bottom on the north side of the dyke to ran off without letting the backwater run in The bottom or low land between the dyke and the brick house on the sulphur spring property is to be filled in and made level with Sommer and Cherry streets The specifications provide for the buildleg of a new beil-laeate cud spring-house on the top of this MI and the sulphur water is to be raised to a level with Cherry street by a steam pump the waste from the spring well being pumped into the tanks in the bath house The new spring-house and bath-house are to be buildings of a handsome subatantial and creditabk character every venience being adopted for the comfort of the public in their interior construction Toe bottom to the north of tbe bath-house is to be converted into a base-ball park The diamond la to Le AtIci out just where the circus ring Is tasually made and a handsome and commodious amphitheater is to be built along Jackson and Cherry streets facing the diamond The amphitheater will be nearly as large as the one at the fair grounds and to good um all the natantl advantages found on the Sulphur Springs Compaoy's property The company is about to let the contract far thebork and tba building of the dyke to keep out the backwater is to
