Secondly, to create and restore to as near as possible a life-like appearance of the deceased, thus creating a beautiful memory-picture for those who survive. Many people today think and believe of the wonderful but lost art of embalming as practiced by the Ancient Egyptians. The truth is, embalming as done in the days of the Pharaohs could never compare with that practiced in America today. Where we today strive for a life-like appearance, the Egyptians had but one goal, preservation, for they believed that the soul would travel for three thousand years and would then occupy the same body it had departed. In this modern day and agp families no longer are the close unit of old, but in many cases are scattered to the four "corners of the earth.

Modern day embalming allows those at great distance to return in time for the service if that be two days or two weeks. Xmm Jr. jBTmidi and jBTon 1050 CAYUGA STREET TELEPHONE GArden 3-5721 SANTA CRUZ, CALIFORNIA A'J K. i mm if, re? ik I Rebecca K. Sara.
