tonight KSLA Channel 12 (CBS) Tonight with the premiere of at 7 CBS will engage in head-to-head sitcombat with NBC in a battle for the adolescent viewer Engaging in this 30-minute bout will be NBC loveable and Chris Young whom CBS hopes will be the next Michael Fox andor Jason Bateman Young plays Danny Mathews good looking son of Sarah (Kimberly Farr) and Ed (Hugh Maguire) Mathews Danny has one brother a geek named Peter (David Moscow) and a baby sister named Melissa Melissa is the catalyst for the plot in this series After her birth Sarah a career woman decides to return to work In order to do so she hires a or woman to come live in the home and take care of the baby The woman Lisa Wells (Lisa Patrick) was hired sight unseen from the outback in Australia so the family quite sure what to expect But what they expect is a young blond who wears miniskirts and cut-off T-shirts Danny however is not room only to find him naked So she sees him but he seen her It appears as though will be filled with this type of humor complete with sexual innuendos which never quite reach fruition The show is clever though And Young is really good at alternating between laid-back man of the world and nervous-wreck teen-ager Patrick is also good as the Aussie girlwoman though it is a little farfetched to believe that anybody who looks like Olivia Newton-Jobn dressed in attire would be working as a live-in domestic and babysitter Though mother father younger brother and baby sister are in this thing they merely serve as window dressing for Danny Gator and Lisa in the pilot If this one makes it it will be due to the chemistry between Young and Patrick which is electric as well as the teen-age silliness of Lewis Another thing in favor is that everyone seems to be having a good time doing it Though there are some very funny lines the dialogue seems to flow between characters and everybody seems to be working as a team The result is an above average sitcom which if given a chance could put
