Burial will be ir Oaklawn cemelery, Fairfield. Mr. Perry was born in South ort July 19, 1893, son of John I. and Virginia E. Perry.

He was the retired chairman of the Northern Insurance Company York, in New York city, re i i in 1961. He was graduated from the Hotchkiss school, and Yale uni- versily in 1916. He served as a ieutenant in the U. S. A in World War I.

He was particularly interested civic welfare and was former presidenl of the Wakeman Memorial Boys club of Sotithport, for which he raised money lo provide a new building. He was former commodore of the Pequot Yacht club and former presidenl of the Fairfield County Hunt club. Mr. Perry was also a member of the Country Club of Fairfield, and was directly responsible for carrying it through the depression years by inaugurating the Beach club, which lie and Mrs. Perry operated three years.

He also raised money to Mri. Barrinfer of Huntington, L. N. a sister, Miss Virginia Perry of Southport, and nine grandchildren. MM.

Town Counsel Thomas Van I.enlen, who was empowered by the Board of Selectmen to effecf the settlement, said that agree ment had been reached on an assessment figure of 5410,000 for personal and real property own ed by the power company here for the grand list of Oct. 1, 1964 The company had been assessed J515.000.
