Recruiting Sergeant to Box in Olympic Games Sergeant Leslie Mayle, Battery Second Field Artillery, attached to the Harrisburg recruiting district, who appeared at the Army boxing show in this city, on March 18, has been chosen as one of the heavyweight boxers to represent the Army at the Olympics in Faris. Mayle, better known as "Big Chief," is a full blooded Indian, and learned the boxing game in the service, being a classmate of Garcia, Burnbrook, Jared and Marriott, who have fought in all parts of this country. Real Estate Transfers When the Republican party organized after the primaries it was generally thought that a compromise between the two factions would be effected but with the election of S. E. Vance, of Newville, sb county chairman, this was not accomplished. There had been little doubt that with the resignation of Caleb S. Brinton as county chairman, harmony would again prevail in the ranks of the party, but the election of Vance, who is an affirmed organization man, and who for many years held the position of highway supervisor in this district because of his affiliations with the organization, the discord among party members continues as strong as ever.

Shortly after the primaries, Republican party leaders were greatly encouraged by a statement issued when the Prince Booster Club was disbanded that the men who were at the head of the club and their followers would support Swartt for Congress in the coming campaign. This statement, however, has since been repudiated to a very great extent by many of the voters who still have an antipathy toward the organization and who have no desire to support a "wet" i.rm Real estate transfers recorded here today are: William W.
