What Is Grown Here The best crops of the valley are l)cars, hops, prunes and the bugaboo of tho railroad when it comes to shipping season, grapes, and then some more The Bartlett pear of Ukiah is bcinf recognized more ai more each season in the Eastern market, and within a few years this valley will be one of the pear shipping centers of California, more young orchards being planted yearly, and lots of bearing trees coming in each year. World Famous Plant At Ukiah is located the celebrated California Grape Products Company's plant whose products arc being shipped all over the United States, and who recently shipped under refrigeration to Torreon, Mexico, a carload of grape cuttings an indication that the products of this vicinity are sought for at other )laccs.
