Phils sign Mulholland PHILADELPHIA (AP) Terry Mulholland, who pitched a no-hitter against San Francisco on Aug. 15, agreed Wednesday to a one-year, $475,000 contract with the Philadelphia Phillies. Mulholland, 27, was seeking $625,000 in arbitration. The club originally offered $375,000.

The contract also provides bonuses of $50,000 based on the number of games or innings the left-hander pitches. Mulholland, who made $175,000 in 1990, had a 1.99 earned-run average in his last 10 starts. Overall, he was 9-10 with a 3.34 ERA. He led Phillies starters with six complete games. Shortstop Kim Batiste, 22, who spent last season with the Reading Phillies, and right-handed pitcher Tim Mauser, 24, also agreed to one-year deals.

Both received the major-league minimum of $100,000. Batiste led Reading in hitting (.276) and stolen bases (28) and was selected to the Eastern League All-Star team. Mauser was 3-4 with a 3.30 ERA in eight starts at Reading and 5-7 with a 3.66 ERA in 16 starts at Triple A Scranton Wilkes-Barre. Owens won the 1969 Heisman as a running back at Oklahoma, while Sullivan won the 1971 award as a quarterback at Auburn. Also voted into the Hall of Fame were receiver Fred Biletnikoff of Florida State, running backs Ed Marinaro of Cornell and L. The new members will be inducted into the Hall of Fame at the National Football Foundation's awards winner Dec.

10 in New York. The foundation sponsors the Hall of Fame. Stacy to stay at Alabama TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) Tailback Siran Stacy, who had a stellar 1989 only to be sidelined by a knee injury last season, said Wednesday he would play for Alabama this year rather than enter the NFL draft. Stacy said he made his decision after talking to Alabama coach Gene Stallings, numerous pro scouts and friends.

As a medical redshirt for 1990, Stacy will have one more season of eligibility at Alabama. Paper says Klingler staying HOUSTON (AP) David Klingler, who replaced 1989 Heisman Trophy winner Andre Ware and broke many of his NCAA records last season, will return for his senior season at Houston, The Houston Post reported Wednesday. Klingler, however, refused to confirm the report. Houston officials scheduled a news conference today for Klingler to announce his plans. Friday is the NFL deadline for college underclassmen to declare themselves available for the NFL draft in April.

Labate and Miller had four points each in the first period as the Lady Slaters took a 9-3 lead. Christian had eight points in the second period as the Lady Slaters extended their lead to 26-12 by halftime. Derr had four points in the quarter for Weatherly.

Christian had eight more points in the third quarter as Bangor upped its lead to 39-23 heading into the final period. Radjavitch had six points in the quarter for Weatherly. Miller had four points in the fourth quarter as the Lady Slaters outscored the Lady Wreckers, 15-9, to secure the win. Leann Dolinsky had three points for Weatherly. The Lady Wreckers were without freshman Desiree Labanoski, sidelined with the flu.

Weatherly won the junior varsity game, 36-14. The Lady Wreckers return to Schuylkill League Division III play tonight, hosting Cardinal Brennan. (AP) -Damon Baily scored 21 points and Calbert Chaney added 14 as No. 4 Indiana defeated Wisconsin for the 22nd straight time, 73-57 Wednesday night in the Big Ten Conference.

Indiana (19-2 overall, 7-1 conference) led by as many as 14 points in the first half, helped by a tenacious defense that held the Badgers scoreless for separate stretches of 3 and 4 minutes. The Badgers (10-8, 4-4) pulled to 34-24 at the half, then came on strong at the beginning of the second half. Willie Simms scored six of Wisconsin's first nine points of the second half, pulling his team to 40-33 with 14:20 to play. But Pat Graham came off the bench to score five points and spark a 12-0 Indiana run in the next three minutes to put the game out of reach, 52-33 with 1 1 :20 left. The Badgers never got closer than 16 points thereafter.
