A good time was had by the canned laughter The highlight of the weekend was the two-hour Miss America pageant beamed out of Atlantic City by CBS-TV The girls weren't particularly talented except for Miss Oklahoma a pro who has appeared On the Arthur Godfrey none of them were real knockouts physically either But the show did well what television does taking dead aim on an event actually going on and channeling out a feeling of "now" Oh yes the season's 'Lassie" premier took place Sunday on CBS 'IV I hope the kids enjoyed it Me I couldn't understand a word the darn dog said THE CHANNEL SWIM:
