end of his career He said before the election that win or lose this was his last outing He was bidding to become the second two-term GOP governor of Arkansas since Reconstruction The last one was Winthrop Rockefeller who served in 1967-70 and lost a bid for a third term You have to go back to Reconstruction to find the next GOP governor of Arkansas Known as a friend of fundamentalists White
