Thp remainder of the day's session the sixth in the second phase of the scheduled four-part hearing was devoted to questioning the economists about current money market and general economic conditions. Among the significant points brought out were: Dr. Pratt favors long-term rather than short- or tredium- term (five to 10 years) financing by Mountain Fuel. According to Mr. Fjeldsted, natural gas costs nationwide increased 14 percent in the first four months of 1975, compared to a Consumer Price Index increase of 1.5 percent.

The hearings, already running so far behind that the third phase may have to be delayed, will resume Wednesday at 9 a.m. v.t the PSC hearing room at 330 E. 4th South. 1 Do -Jones NEW YORK (ON) Dow Jones claw-Kt ranue ,..1 siwi Stocts Owen WWI Low Chi. But both Riccardo and Callero are considered proteges of Townsend and few in the industry expect the new leadership to swing Chrysler very far from current management policies. Riccardo, a Chrysler employe since 1959 and the No. 2 man since 1970, was Townsend's hand-pteked sneeessor.

His selection Tuesday to succeed Townsend was all but assured last week when Riccardo was named to head Chrysler's operations committee. Unlike Townsend and Riccardo, whose backgrounds were mostly in money and financial matters, Caller, 19, worked his way through the automotive end of the business. He joined Chrysler's automotive body division in 1953, and rose to the No. 3 spot of automotive executive vice president last December.
