The combined frontage of 155 nuildings demolished or in process of demolition was reported yesterday at 5 653 feet by Langdon W. Post, Tenement House Commissioner, who said that the job accounted for 255.110 man hours of work.

The lower East Side of Manhattan was the chief scene of operations. In Brooklyn two demolition projects included five buildings, aggregating 59 dwelling units. Work on four buildings, including 19 flats, was inaugurated in July at Front and Mercein Sts. In September, work started on the building at 186-202 Clinton including 40 flats. "These demolitions are independent of our housing plans for specially selected areas," Mr.

Post stated. "Our next job, one of the mast complex, which we plan to tackle very soon, is the "jungle" surrounding the Brooklyn Navy Yard," he declared. Setauket. L. I.
