Extensive Plans Made for Packer Institute Graduation Class Day exercises, celebrating graduation of the 80th class from the Packer Collegiate Institute, will be held in the Packer garden on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Commencement exercises will be held on Monday evening, June 11, in the chapel of Packer Institute.

Dr. John H. Denbigh, principal of the Packer, will preside at the commencement exercises. A feature of the Class Day exercises of the class of 1934, of which Miss Dorothy Snyder is president, will be a tableau entitled "Macte Virtute," motto of the Packer, which translated means "Grow in Courage." Lingagail Darling, president of the work shop, and Miss Laura Michel, editor of the Packer Current Items, the Packer monthly publication, both of whom are members of the graduating class, conceived the tableau, which has been prepared under the direction of Miss Winifred Waid, dramatics instructor. Miss Eleanor Taylor, vice president of the senior class, is chairman of the committee in charge of Class Day arrangements.

The tableau shows the 1934 class entering high school in 1928, represenetd by Miss Margaret Dunlop, '34, and led by Alma Mater, represented by Miss Snyder through the Packer until the present time, when the class today will be represenetd by Miss Ada Denton, '34, president of the Student Council. During the years at Packer the class meets and attains twelve virtues. Clare -Zimmerman The Church of the Neighbor was the scene of the wedding of Miss Gertrude Zimmerman, 372 St. John's Place, daughter of Mrs. John C. Cady, Enfield, and Zimmerman, and Daniel Hunt Clare the Rev. Dr.

and Mrs. Daniel Hunt Clare of North Adams, yesterday afternoon. The Rev. Dr. Clare performed the ceremony, which was followed by an informal reception at the Neighborhood Club.

Miss Helen Gray of St. Albans was the attendant for Miss Zimmerman, Karl Zimmerman of Passaic was best man and the ushers included Robert Zimmerman of Springfield, Alan Forte of Hollis, George Andrews of Montclair and Arthur Pethick Brooklyn. The bride wore a gown of white satin on princess lines and carried an old-fashioned bouquet of gardenias, lilies of the valley and sweet peas. Miss Gray wore a beige lace dress with an American Beauty taffeta hat and sash. Her bouquet was of American beauty roses.

East Hampton Residents Plan for Gay Season East Hampton, June 2-Summer plans for East Hampton are practically completed; it promises to be a gay season, with many families that formerly summered abroad changing, with the changing dollar, to eastern Long Island. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Wanner are newcomers to the colony here, taking Mrs.

Ring W. Lardner's dune house, while Mrs. Lardner and her sons will occupy Seymour's place on Forest Lane. Mr. and Mrs.

Stuart Webb, who have the Morris estate on Lily Pond Lane; Mr. and Mrs. Clifford R. Hendrix, recently arrived from London, the E. T.

Mairs Jr. Will Be Married June 16 The marriage of Miss Isabel Gardiner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Winthrop Gardiner of East Hampton, to Olney Blanchard Mairs son of Mr. and Mrs.

Olney B. Mairs of Manhattan and East Hampton, will take place in St. Luke's Episcopal Church, East Hampton on Saturday afternoon, June 16. The Rev. William Grainger, the rector, will perform the ceremony, which will be followed by a reception for a few intimate friends and relatives of the two families.

Another early season event will be the unusualy elaborate celebration of the birthday of John Howard Payne, poet of "Home, Sweet Home" fame, who wrote the song in memory of his childhood home on Main here. On June 9 there will not only be open house at the Payne shrine, the vine-covered cottage now owned by the village, and singing of the famous song, a talk on Payne's boyhood by the Rev. E. Eells of the Presbyterian Church, here, but also a reception at Guild Hall, the historic Clinton Academy and the East Hampton Free Library.

At Guild Hall an exhibition of East Hampton antiques, to remain on view for several weeks. will be opened that day. Hamilton King, well-known artist of Manhattan and East Hampton, heads the exhibition committee. Descendants of East in 1649 have ransacked their houses Hampton's first families, who came and a notable collection of furniture, ancient costumes, even a whaleboat completely rigged and ready for sea, will be loaned. Adelphi College Alumnae Association Will Have 'Alumnae Day' Saturday Starting with individual class meetings, a full program is planned for Alumnae Day at Adelphi College on Saturday.

Mrs. Harold J. Baily, president of the Alumnae Association, will preside at the meeting for all alumnae to be held in the recreation hall at 2 o'clock, at which time Dr. Frank Dickinson Blodgett, president of the college, will speak. Following this, an hour will be given for an all-alumnae swimming meet under the supervision of Miss Camille Springsted of the physical education department.

The alumnae parade, with all classes either in costume or carrying some distinctive marking, will from the gymnasium at 4 o'clock and proceed to the various buildings on the campus, pausing for the presentation of gifts to the college by reunion classes and stopping at the steps of administration building for the Senior "sing."
