Robert Chain, 68, appeared in federal court in Boston and entered guilty pleas to seven counts of making threatening communications in interstate commerce, federal prosecutors said. The Encino, Calif, resident made a total of 14 disturbing calls to Globe staffers starting Aug. 10, the day the paper asked publications around the country to join a coordinated editorial response to Trump's attacks, prosecutors said. Chain parroted Trump's anti-media rhetoric in tiie calls, referring to Globe employees as the "enemy of the people." In one chillingly specific call on Aug. 16, Chain allegedly told a Globe staffer, "I'm you.

As a result of that call, local law enforcement responded to the Globe's offices and maintained a presence outside the building to ensure the safety of the employees. Kappy (photo), who was 42, "forced himself off" a bridge early Monday, an official with the Arizona Department of Public Safety said in a statement obtained by the Daily News. "He was then struck by a passing car," the official said. Kappy died at the scene.
