Moll on t- Indians Display Nevr Spark in Winning ot Offensive Duel By JIMMY HODGSON Tribune Sports "Editor Utah's much abused and beaten football team came out of its corner punching with both hands Saturday as it pounded a surprised and startled DenveT eleven into the ropes for five touchdowns to win a unanimous and clean-cut decision from the 11126 homecoming fans who turned out to judge the contest The final score was Utah 33 Denver 21 and few wilder offensive gridiron battles have ever been seen in the bowl The docile and down-trodden Redskins who were humiliated by Oklahoma A two weeks ago were a completely changed team Saturday as they cut loose with an offensive explosion that rolled up nearly 400 yards from scrimmage completed eight out of 12 passes and advanced so consistently that they didn't have to punt the ball the entire game Denver's First Conference Setback It was the'first conference'defeat for Denver a setback that just about eliminates their hopes for an undisputed conference crown It was also the second meeting of the teams Denver won from Utah 21-7 in the first tussle but those 21 points weren't enough to win from the roaring rolling Redskins Saturday Utah's easy triumph was spearheaded by the great play of the Utah line which tore holes in the Denver wall consistently and completely out-performed the Pioneers Utah's backs Gay Adelt Keith Sudbury and Joe Dobaran ran harder than ever before in scooting through the holes and lapping up the yardage And in addition the Indians presented a sensational newpass receiver in-Bill (Tex) VanSandt who didn't drop a toss all day as he drove the Denver secondary crazy It was an offensive football game from start to finish and the story of the ball game was a series of long touchdown marches topped off with a bizarre finish that resulted in two more touchdowns after the fans figured the game was all over GALLOPIN' GAY GETS AWAY FOR ANOTHER GAIN AGAINST OUTPLAYED PIONEERS despite the slowly gaining only nine yards on three tries but instead of punting they hit for the extra yard and made it getting a first down oh the DU 42 From there Quarterback Allen Davis tossed a pass to
