Who among the 34 contestants in the 14th annual Eagle Current EvenU Bee will survive the barrage of questions tonight and emerge victorious? Whnt high school will win the coveted Eagle Cup? Two thousand students and par ents who will attend the event at James Madison High School, Bedford ave. near Quentln are trying to answer these question i.

This is expected to be the most closely contested of the 14 bees. From the time the 35-pleco James Madison Field Band opens the program with blaring trumpets and roll of drums at 8 o'clock until the final contestant survives the avalanche of current topics there will be action and plenty of It. Kaltenborn Will Award Medals. After Dr. Mortimer Clark, principal of James Madison and marshal of the event, delivers the address of welcome, H.

V. Kaltenborn, associate editor of The Eagle and official Interrogator, will award medals to those students who average highest in the preliminary con tests at their respective junior high and evening high schools. One member from each of the 17 teams who receives the best rating will be eligible for the radio bee that will be broadcast over Station Tuesday night from 8:30 to 10. Only those holding tickets will be admitted tonight, and by arriving early the best seats can be obtained. Doors will open promptly at 7 o'clock.

Keen Competition for Cup. Competition is especially keen for the Eagle Cup, which will go to the school scoring the highest. And Alexander Hamilton and Boys High, both having two legs on the present cup, are expected to make a strong bid for it tonight, for by winning it the third time it becomes permanent property. Incidentally, too, Boys Hich has won three of the cups during the 13 years of the bees. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners at the radio bee.
