A football machine wearing the Blue and Gray of Poly Prep, Invaded Commercial Field yesterday and handed the Alexander Hamilton High School eleven its second beating in as many starts, by 25 to 0. The light Scarlet and Gray grid Diuguid and Sheerin Lead Blue and Gold to Costly Victory. The home aggregation, falling to gain, cit-gg kicked to Manual's 25-yard line.

Socolow was held on an attempt ut right end. It was In this play that Sheridan received his Injury, lb. did not realize he was badly hurt until the next play on which V- smashed off tackle for 5uff and Blue Forced to Resort to Aerial Attack in Final Quarter. Erasmus chatkcd up its first grid-Iron victory yesterday by defeatins St. John's Prep, 7 to 0.

The keen content between the hard-fightlm; elevens was marred by penults, fumbles, and a slow field. The St. John's aggregation lost the game In' the first half by penalties and Erasmus won the clash ia forward passes in the final period. The high school boys rushed the prep lads far four downs to their two. 1)1 Angells outkirked Weeks by 10 yards in each exchange of punts.

Mimdleman drew first blood for Krasmu.s by gaining 30 yards on a pass from Littman. Adleman then ripped 15 yards off the right wing of St. John's In two plays. An exchange of punts gave Krasnius th ball near mid-field, but a 20-yard penalty on the Reds, plus a tackle drive, put the Blue within 5 yards of a touchdown. St.

John's line was a stono wall and Krasmus lost the ball on downs. St. John's then marched 25 yards up the field before the quarter ended. Penalties, after they had marched within scoring distance, lost a po tential tou hdown for St. John's In the second period.

After a forward pass, a double pass and first down, followed by two heartbreaking penalties, St. John's lost Its only chance to score when Erasmus refused to give way on the 6-yard line. A 35-ard punt by Di Angells ended the half. After'jeo-sawlng the ball back and forth over the 50-yard stripe, Erasmus renewed Its aerial attack In the last period. The Erasmlans threw and dove over St.

John's until Sun-dlenian, on the 10-yard line, heaved the slippery pigskin to Cooper's waiting arms and Krasmus crossed St. John's last white stripe. Instead of kicking for the polnt-after-touch- down, Cooper circled left end tor the added point. With two minutes to play, the Buff and Blue marchej steadily down the field from kick-off. Poly Preps reprsentatives gained at will over Ihe Hamillonltea, mak ing six first downs to none for their opponents. In fact, i'oly aught have added two or three touchdowns to its total bat for the short duration of the periods.

Wolfl, Cornwell and with Smith calling the signals, were too much for the weak forward line of Alexander Hamilton. The first three named, used with excellent Judgment by the brainy Blue and Gray qunrterback, pounded the op posing line for gain after gain. All of Poly's touchdowns were tallied by this trio, Wolff crossing the goal line on two occasions, once each in the first two periods. At that, the score might have been a bit closer but for the fact that the only two Hamilton veterans, Barney Cohen and Al Schlavone, wero on the sidelines because of Injuries suffered In practice. The loss of these men mado a strong bac.ktleld weak, leaving Hamilton powerless In the face of Poly's assault.

Poly Prep got right down to business in the first period of play, Wolff scoring the first touchdown of the game after eight minutes of play. Twenty-five yards of brilliant broken eld running produced this score. Two minutes later Poly was on Its way to a second goal after Ginsberg had fumbled. Stromeillo's klckoff. Callahan recovering on the 30-yard stripe and advancing 10 more yards before being downed.

Three line plunges started the second quarter, giving Poly Prep a first down on Hamilton's 10-yard line. A )0-vard penally failed to daunt the Blue and Gray team, which promptly executed a criss-cross play tint netted 15 yards. From here Wolff had no difficulty In plunging through center for his second touchdown of the day. Three minutes after the start o' the final half Poly Prep produced Us third touchdown. Cornwell scoring on a 40-yard romp, after Intercept ing a forward by itapnaei.

The final 6 points were tallied by McCarthy, in the last period, on a plunge after the pigskin had been brought all the way down the Held bv means of a 25-yard forward, Wolff to Callahnn, an oft tackle plunge for 20-yards by Bnochev.r. who had taken Cornwell's place, and nn end run for 15. yards by Me- Coach' Bove's bids were in Prep territory enly once during the en tire contest. Karlv in the fourth period the ball was In the Scarlet and Gray eleven's possession, 40 vards away from a touchdown. A 6-yard penalty inflicted on the victors and a short punt by Stromelllo gave the bal Ito the home team on Polv Prep's 40-yard line.

A seven- yard pass, Titen to Hiissuck. put Alexander Hamilton three yard-away from a first down. But, tin able to gain the necessary distance on the next three, plays, the ball went to Poly on the 40-yard line from where It whs advanced steadily for the last 6 points.
