Welfare Official Will Deliver Lecture Harriet L. Parsons, a field representative of the Family Welfare Association of America, will be in Ogden ton Tuesday, June 26. A public conference has been arranged at which men and women interested in family social work and related aspects of social welfare are invited to hear Miss Parsons. This meeting, to be addressed by the visitor, will be held at ten o'clock Tuesday morning, June 26, in the auditorium of the U. S.

forest service building at Twenty-fifth and Adams. Miss Parsons is coming to Utah in connection with her consultant duties with the Family Service society of Lake City, which is affiliated with the Family Welfare Association of America. The latter organization (has made Miss Parsons available ass a consultant to other private and public welfare agencies. The board of directors of the Children's Aid society of Ogden invited Miss Parsons to meet with the board and in connection with this visit it was decided to arrange whereby social workers and others interested in social work could meet and hear Miss Parsons. Accordingly, the Children's Aid soappointed Mrs.

Thomas Talbott, a member of the board, to be chairman of a committee on arrangements in connection with the Parsons visiti Officers and directors of the 0g- den community chest are among those receiving special invitations to attend the meeting in line with suggestions that have been made from time to time that family case work should, receive more emphasis in Ogden. Jensen, 25, of 244 Adams, Ogden, has received a direct commission as a second lieutenant recognition of his work as a military investigator in the European of operations. Jensen, who was commissioned from the rank of corporal, served with the investigation division, provost marshal general's office, ETO.

Many of his missions required him to operate in civilian clothes. He expects to continue this type of work in Germany. The newly commissioned lieutenant left Brigham Young university Provo to enlist in the army in 1942. Previdusly, he served for two, missionary years as in a the northwestern Saint states. He has been overseas 11 months. Drowns After Fall From Bridge Into River Funeral arrangements were today for Ruby May Bishop, eight, daughter of Harvey H.

and Faye Bishop, 1887 a Childs, who drowned Sunday at four-fifteen in Ogden river. The family p. was awaiting word from the child's brothers in the armed services. The young girl met death when she fell into stream while crossing the utahs Idaho Central railroad bridge at Lincoln with playmates. The resuscitator of the city fire department was applied for an hour after her father had rushed into the river about a block from where she fell and pulled her ashore.

The river has receded from its high point of a few weeks ago, but there is still a powerful stream of roily water in the channel. She was born March 24, 1937, at Saddle, Fulton county, Arkansas, she attended school until coming to Ogden in November, 1944. The family resided at Washington Terrace, moving to the present address about a month ago. completed the third grade at Lincoln school in May. Her father is employed unith Athe post engineers at the depot.

Besides her parents, she is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Charles and Murl Bishop, Ogden; Eugene Bishop, San Francisco; Robert Bishop, U. S. army air forces, England; Delmar Bishop, U. S. army, Ft.

Rex. J. Hess Coming Home Lieut. Rex J. Hess, 23, son of Mr.

and Mrs. Delbert E. Hess, 2054 Adams, and husband of Thora Ann Hess, has landed in the United States by transport plane and will arrive home this week. Lieut. Hess was inducted into the army in Februrary, 1943, and left for overseas in September, 1944.

He has been serving with the 15th army air force in Italy as a navigator on a B-24 Liberator. After- a 30-day leave he will report again for overseas duty. He wears the D. F. C.

and the air medal with two oak leaf clusters. in March, 1940. He holds the distinguished flying cross, air medal, three theatre ribbons, unit citation and the American defense ribbon. Prior to his entry into the service, Col. Griffin was a student at U.
