Work will begin within five days on the Summit Street School Building, four contracts for which were awarded last night by the East Pennsboro Township school board. The cost of rebuilding the edifice has been set at $32,795. The building was virtually destroyed by fire on January 29 and since that time school children have been attending classes in Enola Methodist and i Lutheran churches.

It is hoped to have the new building completed in time for the opening of the 1939-40 term in September. Snyder and Seeds Company, of New Bloomfield, lowest bidder in the general contract, was awarded the project at $23,480. Other bidders were: H. B. Alexander, of Harris-burg, W.

E. Bushey, Le-moyne, Ritter Brothers, Harrisburg, F. J. Couples, of Kingston, $27,382, and Joseph W. Pomraning, of Harrisburg.

$27,640. The contract for plumbing was awarded to R. E. Wolfe, of Harrisburg, at $2000. Herre Brothers, of Harrisburg, submitted a bid of $2250.

Herre Brothers were lowest bidders on the electrical contract and were awarded the job at $1825. Other bidders were: C. M. Davis and Son. of Harrisburg.
