Paris News January 13, 1994 12A EDC b6ard will take oaths The oaths of office will be administered to the ex-officio members of the Paris Economic Development Corporation board Thursday afternoon. The board will meet at 3:30 p.m. at City Hall. In other matters, the board will discuss the strategic plan development and discuss project approval criteria. The board will also work out a regular meeting date and time.

Two Paris residents honored Carolyn Jordan and Bobbie Belevv of Paris were recently honored for membership in the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Executive Council. The council is one of nine programs in the Texas Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation system that received showcase awards at the 1993 Helen Farrabee Conference in Austin. The council is made up of consumer and staff representatives from five psychosocial rehabilitation clubhouses in a 10-county area served by Terrell State Hospittal's community sendees division. POLICE A revolver and a 9 mm handgun were reported missing from a home in the 600 block of South Main Street. Reports stated the owner of the guns is unsure when the items were" taken. The guns are valued at $1,100. A Western hat valued at $300 was taken from a hospital waiting room sometime between 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Reports stated the removed his hat in the waiting room while waiting on the arrival of his first grandchild. EMERGENCIES The County Emergency Medical Services responded to 16 calls between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday. Teams were called to eight medical emergencies, five patient transfers, two back-up assistance calls, and one call which was later cancelled.

The Paris Fire Department responded to a diesel fuel leak and a possible gas leak. DEATHS Eugene Garrett, formerly of Red River County, died Wednesday in Wylie, Wood Funeral Home of Bogata. 10. She was a former resident of Paris. Services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, at the Amey-Hyltin-Manor Funeral Home.

Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 14, in Tioga Cemetery in Tioga. Mrs. Fuston was born Sept.

5, 1915, in Tioga, a daughter of Vernon and Ida Sue Perry. She married Raymond Fuston June 9, 1933, in Paris where they lived until 1968. She was employed by The Paris News for many years and was a member of Central Presbyterian Church in Paris. She worked for the state for many years, retiring from the Teachers' Retirement System and then worked many years For Hyltin-Manor Funeral Chapel. She was a member of the Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America and Daughters of the Nile.

Her husband died in 1975. Surviving are two sons, Fred P. Fuston of Spring and John T. Fuston of Austin; a sister, Mary Perry Johnston; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Henexson was born Feb. 19, 1922, in Morgan Mills, a son of General and Mattie Rain Henexson. He was a minister and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War n.

Surviving are five sons, Ronald Henexson of Paris, Randall Henexson of Waco, Larry Henexson of Mabank, Gary Henexson of Balch Springs and Kenneth Henexson of Thornton, two daughters, Debra Bray of Scurry and Delores Campbell of Mesquite; a brother, J.C. Henexson of Rails; 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Lois Mazy Barth Former Parisian Lois Mazy Barth, 72 died Saturday, Jan.8, in Luther Medical Center in Arvado, Calif. Services were conducted at the First Baptist Church in Seminole, Texas. She was born May 9, 1922, a daughter of H.B.

and Jennie Mazy. She attended Paris schools and married Travis Barth Jan. 6,1940. Mr. Patterson is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Phyllis Webb of Garland and Darlynne and Richard Nix of Rockwall; a brother, Lester L. Wood Funeral Home of Deport had charge of arrangements. Mrs. Palmer was born July 12, 1924, in Cunningham, a daughter of Dick and Hilda Young Black. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lee Palmer in 1981. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Karla Palmer of Bogata; three sisters, Earlene Brazille of Holiday, Mildred Garza of Bossier City, Jo Nell Hitchcock of California; a brother, Hal Black of Blossom; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Sue Rodgers, and a brother, Virgil Grant Black. Hostile Elizafsetn Jones BOGATA Doshie Elizabeth Jones, 70, of Johntown died Wednesday, Jan. 12, at her home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan.

ceded in death by two infant daughters. Bobby Ray Hearn BOGATA Ray Hearn, 63, of Cuthand died Tuesday, Jan. 11, at his Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, in Bogata Church of Christ with Benny Cogburn officiating.

Burial will be in Manchester Cemetery by Wood Funeral Home of Bogata. The family will receive friends from 8-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Hearn was born Jan.

9, 1931, in Louisiana, a son of Ray and Cecil Riggs Hearn. He married Martha Cobb Dec. 31, 1958. He worked for the city of Dallas for 30 years as a systems operator in the water department, retiring in 1985. Surviving are his wife; three sons, Jimmy Foster of-Washington D.C., Paul Foster of Mesquite and Richard Hearn of Arlington; one daughter, Elaine Krause of Manassas, one brother, Bennie Hearn of Dallas; two sisters, Peggy Coieman of Dallas and Linda Mays of Mesquite and eight grandchildren.

Billy Norman HUGO, Okla. Billy Norman, 52, of Fort Towson, died Monday, Jan. 10, at Choctaw Memorial Hospital. Services will be held at 10 aim. Friday, Jan.

11, 1941, in Honey Grove, Texas, a son of Joseph and Susie Martin Norman. He married Betty Farren in Las Vegas, Aug. 11, 1977. He was a ranch foreman and a member of the Baptist church. Surviving are his wife, Betty; two brothers, A.C.

(Joe) Norman of Bonham, Texas, and Carrol Norman of Haltom City, a sister, Martha Pearl of Fort Worth, and a niece and nephew, Thomas and Daisy Davidson, who made their home with him. Mary Gardner Eversole HONEY GROVE Mary Gardner Eversole, 83, of Honey Grove died Saturday, Jan. 8, at her home. Memorial services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan.

16, at the Main Street Presbyterian Church with Dr. Elisha Paschal officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home. Mrs.

Eversole was bom July 7, 1910, in Honey Grove, a daughter of Sam Houston and Ella Mae Moss, Gardner. She married Charles Richard Eversole Oct. 4, 1931, in Honey Grove. She was a retired librarian with the Dallas Independent School District. She was a graduate of Honey Grove High School, attended Paris Junior College and graduated from Texas Women's University.

She was librarian for Highland Park Presbyterian Church for a number of years. Surviving are a daughter, Doris Bentley of South Padre Island; one son, Charles R. Eversole Jr. of Grapevine; seven grandchildren; three great- grandchildren, and a brother, Eugene Gardner of Lufkin. Joe Beashears HUGO, Okla.

Joe Beashears, 86, of Bokchifo died Tuesday, Jan. 11, in Colonial Manor Nursing Home. Services will be held at 11 "a.m. Monday, Jan. 17, at the Bokchito Church of Christ with burial in Double Springs Cemetery by Rogan Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 14, in Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home Chapel with, the Rev. Mary L. Franklin officiating.

Burial will be in Laurel Land Cemetery in Dallas. The family will be at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m. Friday; Mrs. Head was born Jan. 17, 1903, in Cooper, a.

daughter of Johnny and Ardi R. Keith James. She married James Head July 11, 1919. He died June. 14, 1961.
