Pueblo, June 26. A Colorado Southern freight and a train of slag cars collided on the bridge of the Arkansas and Fountain rivers today. Engineer Brown and Fireman Chaefer were killed. The bridge cojlapsed and the engine and fourteen cars fell in the river. MEN WANTED.

CHARGE MURDER TO WIFE. Buffalo Physician's Wife Must Stand Trial for His Death. Buffalo, June 26. The coroner's jury today returned a verdict charging Mrs. Elizabeth Meyer, wife of Jacob Meyer, with murdering him.

Meyer was one of the most prominent physicians in New York and was shot tiwee in his own home. Church News. The Baptist ladies are looking forward with considerable interest to the coming of Miss Dr. Grant of Ottawa. She is designated as missionary to Burma, and leaves early in the fall for her station.

Next Tuesday afternoon she is to meet and address the ladies here. Praise and testimony service at the Baptist church this evening. All are invited to come and take part. Prof. R.

Admiral George Dewey before the senate committee today again denied that he had promised the Filipinos freedom.
