Page 4 October 17, 1975 PARSON W.C. Chosen As Agent For Utah Listeners Community Radio Calendar of Events how difficult it is to raise funds, When Westminster reached the $2,000,000 goal in their fund raising effort last year, only $150,000 was from the Salt Lake City area. The first of the grants was just recently received from the Utah Endowment for the Humanities. In the agreement, $14,000 was given for broadcasting twenty-six public hearings, along with time for commentary on each. The format, according to Holbrook, will not be strictly communicastors waiting for calls, but each segment of the community involved in the station, will do their own program.

The example cited: The Black community would be given time for talk format, if desired, along with music andor public information. Holbrook added that Westminster students are wel- corned to give input to the station. Waiting for the money requirements needed before filing for the FCC license and the building of the tower site (in agreement-lease with KSL) are the final time consuming steps. The completion of the project is set tentatively for next summer. Westminster has chosen to act as fiscal agent for, and provide the broadcasting locale of, the future Listeners Community Radio of Utah.

The project was developed from the interest of former Commissioner Barker in the Central City Community who wanted a station for their own broadcasting. Steve Holbrook, present co-ordinator of the project found that other various segments of people in the Salt Lake Community also wanted stations, but were too small to take on the entire project. By forming a coalition of these segments the minorities, neighborhood councils, and the city at large, Holbrook materialized the first step of the Listeners Community Station. Acquisition and development of the station involves a long process the most evident step is getting the $73,000 for equipment, which is slowly materializing through grants and other organizations. Holbrook cited Surveyed Women Reply (ZNS-CPS) A Loyola University psychologist has surveyed women to find the type of male body most likely to set them drooling.

From the results, Psychologist Paul Lavrakas has determined the most exciting male figure. The perfect male, Lavrakas claims, has thin legs, a medium-wide chest and medium-thin hips. The Alfred Hitchcock pear-shaped look--a thin chest and large stomach and hips--is the least attractive male figure, according to women surveyed. Friday, October 17 8:30 P.M.
