Samboroski Catholic Nonagenarian Dies at Home In Lattimer Mrs. Anna Evenctiko Podelko Mrs. Anna Evenchko Podelko, No. 430 Lattimer Mines, a non-agerian and one of the oldest residents of the North Side, died at her home at 3:30 yesterday afternoon, from complications, following an illness of one week. Relatives said she was in her nineties, one report placing the age at 97, but no one could give the exact age.

She was born Austria, a daughter of Michael and Hattie Evenchko. She resided in Lattimer for 60 years. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Polish National Church, this city. Her husband, Andrew Podelko preceded her in death in 1934.

Surviving are two daughters; Mrs. John (Suzanna) Buchman, at home in Lattimer Mines; and Mrs. Russell (Katherine) Sandt, New York City. Also by three grandchildren; Andrew Marcinko, Wilmington, Mrs. Robert (Anna Mae) Zahay, Freeland; and George Marcinko, Lattimer Mines.

Also three gieat grandchildren; Robert, Mary Ann and Janet Zahay, Freeland. A daughter, Mrs. Mary Podelko Marcinko died on January 18, 1949. The funeral will be held on Monday at a m. from the Grebey.

Searfoss Area Woman Survived by 49 Mrs. Kathryn Frances Searfoss. 89, of Port Jenkins, Dennison Township, White Haven, died Wednes day at 4 p. m. after an illness of seven weeks.

A lifelong resident of that area, she was a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Daneker. Her father was the owner of the Dane-ker Quarry and Farms now the General Crushed Stone Den nison Township. The deceased was a member of the White Haven Methodist Church. Surviving are six children: Lloyd, White Haven; Elmer, Fran ces and Mrs. Zania Gross, Dennison Township; Mrs.

Vera Smith. Farmdale; and Mrs. Jesse Brown, Seven Valleys. Also surviving are 15 grandchil dren, 24 great-grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Betty Hunsberger, Los Angeles, a brother, Jacob Daneker, Nazareth; a half-sister, Mrs.

Eva Godshall, Telford; and a half-brother, David Daneker, Dauglows, Arizona. The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p. m. from the Earnhart Funeral Home, Elmira street, White Haven. Rev.

DANCE Tonight, March 20th great Al Robel Orchestra the band with the complete floor show Select Now For Memorial Day MONUMENTS Sister Mary Adrian Former Area Nun Dies Sister Mary Adrian, R.S.M., a member of the Sisters of Mercy Order for the past 57 years, died Tuesdav at 8 p.m. in Mercy Hospital, Wiikes-Barre, where she had been a patient since 1961 Born in Buck Mountain, she was the former Ann Gillespie, daughter cf the late Frank and Mary (Meehan) Gillespie. She was a member of the fac ulty of St. Gabriel's School, this city, when she became ill three years ago.

Prior to that assign ment she taught in St. Ann's School, Freeland, and St. Mary's School, Wilkes-Barre. An elementary school teacher since becoming a nun, Siste? Adrian also served as superior and principal of three schools in New York nd one in Iowa. They were: St.

Aloysius, Great Neck, Long Island, N.Y.; Sacred Heart, Early, Iowa; St. Boniface, Sea-cliffe and St. Anastasia, Douglas-ton, N.Y. The funeral arrangements are incomplete. Lenny Ross, Performer, Succumbs Lenny Ross, a stage performer and a native of this city, died following a performance at a theatre in Milwaukee, Wis.

His actual name was Leonard DeJoseph. He and his late father developed a bag-punchins act that was a crowd pleaser. He appeared on vaudeville programs throughput the country and entertained units of the armed forces throughout the world. He also appeared at the Feeley Theatre here on a vaudeville program. Ross also traveled for a season with the entertainment unit of the Harlem Globetrotters, a touring basketball team.

Mary's Church, Avoca, and former pastor of St. Ann's Church, Freeland, will celebrate the golden anniversary of his ordination on July 16. Msgr. Jeffrey, who served the Freeland parish for eight years prior to the assignment of Rev. Leo Gilroy in 1946, was ordained July 16, 1914.
