SO HOMES COMPANY STARTS SEASON Sinn Escape Like a Fairy Story MORE THAN 750 IN $5080 CLASS Revenue Collectors Send Kenosha Men Demands for Income Taxes on Biff Salaries This Morning MAY PAY III INSTALLMENTS Several Million Dollars Will Be Paid to the Government by the 750 Men In-1 eluded in the $5000 Class of Income Earners Do you know how many people in JCenoslia have an income of more than $5000 The United States government believes that there are in the neighborhood of seven hundred and fifty of class and these men received with their morning mail this -morning an invitation from the government to admit it The invitation was in the form of the income tax schedule No 1040 and it has been anxiously awaited by a lot of these fellows The statement accompanying the returns suggests that it must be returned to the collector of internal revenue on or before March 15th of this year It is expected that income tax form 1040 will result in the government collecting more than a million dollars in income taxes in Ker nosha between now and the first of next December The fellows who got this blank today are the ones who get to pay the income tax de luxe It pro vides for the payments of a normal tax of twelve per cent on incomes over fourTIiousdnd dollars and it provides for the payment of sur taxes and all other frills that the congressmen figured out as a way to pay Uncle Bam war debts The return is considerably involved and it is the one best bet that ninety per cent of the men who receive these forms are ging to be forced to run to their attorneys to have them filled out The government agents who are in the city under the leadership of Joseph Custer will give such kindly aid as is possible to the follows who get the real money but the work of Custer and such men is largely given over to the work of cetting in the returns of the men who had incomes under $5000 It is estimated that the mail bag filled with these blanks sent out from Milwaukee on Friday evening will result in the discovery of something over two hundred men in Kenosha who have income in excess of $10000 and it is expected that more than forty men in the city will return incomes exceeding $25000 The tax on these incomes mounts up fast and the men who are to pay them are allowed until December 15th to complete the payment of the tax The installment plan if accepted provides that the first payment on the tax one fourth of the total amount- be paid on the date that the return is filed The second installment must be paid not later than June 15th the third installment not later than September 15th and the final payment on or before December 15th It is expected that a great nur ber of the big taxpayers in Kenosha will accept the installment payment plan MARCH COMES IN JUST LIKE A
