2B Kingsport Times-News Tuesday March 12 1991 Robb: Lost budget seat due to fiscal restraint No cure at hand county health ailments Associated Press said that he my unhappiness with the whole to removed from the Senate Budget Committee because senior Democrats were unhappy with his insistence on fiscal restraint Robb said the Democratic Steering Committee which determines committee assignments informed him last week that he would lose his seat on the committee The committee sets broad guidelines that govern federal spending An aide to Sen Jim Sasser D-Tenn chairman of the Budget Committee said removal was not a slap at him but part of an effort to reduce the size of the panel Robb has attempted to balance the federal budget by pushing for deeper spending cuts than favored by
