4D Kingsport Times-News Thursday June 29 1989 Braves snap five-game losing streak top Reds 4-3 after double In the third and fifth innings his hit-and-run singles moved Gerald Perry into scoring position Through the first five innings Glavine 8-4 allowed only two baserun-ners He pitched shutout ball until Eric Davis led off the seventh with his 13th home run Davis hit a two-run homer in the ninth off reliever Mark Eichhorn to move the Reds within a run Glavine allowed six hits struck out five and walked none in ending the three-game winning streak Derek Lilliquist got one out in the ninth and Joe Boever got the last out for his 12th save Gregg doubled with one out in the first off Jose Rijo 7-5 and scored on Andres double Expos 4 Mets 3 MONTREAL Mark Langston' struck out 10 and won his first game at Olympic Stadium and Tim Wallach drove in two runs as Montreal beat New York 4-3 to sweep the three-game series and extend its winning streak to six games The first-place Expos lead the Mets and Chicago Cubs by 2 Vi games in the National League East Montreal has allowed only seven runs in its last six games Entering the game Langston had won three games on the road while
