Harold Simones, Minister BIBLE SCHOOL MOMENT OF MEDITATION hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his 1 Jno. 2: 3. Tliere is much talk in the world today eoneeming the that a is savevi. Some will say that they know that they are saved. There have been a number of different evidences offered to show' that salvation is present Let us note one of them.

First, someone will say that they know tliat they are savcxl because they feel so good in their head. Usually they will point to their blood pump and say that they can feel salvation in their heart. The mistake of this reasoning is in two areas. First, can he This can easily seen bv noting the cases of pranksters during the war who calk'd the homes of boys that had been killed in and told the that the first report was wrong and that their son was alive and well and would he returning home in a few days. These parents rejoictxl greatly only to find that someone with a warfxxl sense of humor had playtxl a cruel trick on them.

The fi'oling however, when they thought their son was alive was the same as if he had really been alive. it was based on a lie! Some have told things in religion that are not in harmony with the law of and they feel that they are savtxl hut it is all bast'd on a lie. The ing was the same as if it were tnie. Feelbigs are deceptive. Second, the bloiKl pump in our IxKly is not the heart that the Riljje alxmt.

The Bible heart is the thinking part of man. We are told to Ix'lieve with our heart. Rom. 19:9, 10, We do not Ix'licve with our hkxKl pump. We understand things with our heart.

Mt. 13: L5. Surely, we aie aware of the fact that we do not understand things with our blood pump. We obey God from the heart. Roni.

6:17. W'e do not olx'v God with our blood pump. Wlien the Bible refers SAVKII? to our understanding, believing and olx'ying from the heart it has reference to the thinking part of man. It is not referring to the bloixl pump. Thus when a points to the chest and says that they know they are a Ix'cause of a feeling in their heart, thtw could not have a Bible understanding of what the heart is.

To say that we have a good feeling is not evidence of salvation. Now read again the statement at the fir.st of thi.s article. John tells us how' we can know that we are saved. We that we know him if wc his commandments. It is folly for us to claim salvation without doing the things that Christ commands.

Jesus said, you love me. keep my Jno. 14: 15. said, that be- lievetli and is baptized shall be Have you kept these commands? We can know that Ckxl has saved us if we will do His will.
