Hazleton Standard-Speaker, Friday, April 23, 1993 9 7 On the calendar a.m. until 5 p.m. Call 1-295-1500 for more details. SOURDOUGH and pancake breakfast will be served Saturday from 7 a.m. until noon at the Black Creek United Methodist Church, Sugarloaf.

The menu, to be served home-style, will include sourdough and buckwheat pancakes, sausage, ham, scrambled eggs, home fries, orange juice, toast, breakfast cakes, coffee and tea. Tickets purchased for the March 13 breakfast, the day of the Blizzard of '93, will be honored on Saturday. S.O.A.R., the Hazleton area singles organization, will go dancing this evening at Edgewood in the Pines, Drums, and on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. will take part in a membership drive and dancing at Memory Lane. The group's monthly dance on a 1930s theme is scheduled for Sunday from 7 to 11 p.m.

Mrs. Baker also was appointed List menus for seniors Senior citizens centers sponsored by the LuzerneWyoming Counties Bureau for the Aging in Hazleton, Freeland and Butler Township will serve the following hot noon meals to area residents 60 years and older next week: Monday Salisbury steak, whipped potatoes, Roman vegetable medley, Cranberry juice, whole wheat roll, and rice pudding. Tuesday Chicken parmesan with tomato sauce, garlic fet-tucine, Italian green beans, Italian bread, and chilled pineapple. Wednesday Ham and cabbage, boiled potatoes, parslied carrots, dinner roll, and frosted cupcake.

Thursday Baked pork chop with brown gravy, sweet potatoes, succotash, whole wheat bread, and vanilla cookie. Friday Cheese omelet, hasn brown potatoes, broccoli with lemon butter, bran muffin, and chilled citrus sections. Milk and coffee are served with all lunches. Donations from participants are accepted and needed in order to expand this program. The May Fellowship Breakfast will be hosted by the women of the church on May 12 at 9 a.m., and the society's annual mother-daughter covered dish supper will be held in the church that day at 6 p.m. Plans were completed for the semi-annual chicken and waffle supper to be served May 1 from 4 to 7 p.m., and it was reported that a rummage sale is planned for June 4-5 at the church. June devotions will be conducted by Iris Leitner, and hostesses will be Helen Puhak, Terry Pepsny and Dorothy Constance.

ALS ASSOCIATION has announced a meeting of its North Central Pennsylvania support group for May 9 at 2 p.m. in the wheelchair accessible Lightstreet United Methodist Church, 1640 Main Lightstreet. The session is open to ALS patients and families and all those interested in learning more about the disease popularly known as "Lou Gehrig's Disease. 'Y' flea market set for May 15 Plans are progressing for the third annual Flea Market, Craft and Bake Sale to be held at the Hazleton YMCA and YWCA on May 15 in the gymnasium at the association building at 75 S. Church St. Area organizations, churches, and artisans are welcome to register for spaces andor tables. Each space will measure 12 4-feet, and vendors can rent spaces andor bring their own tables.

Participants also will be allowed to use the parking space at the rear of the building to unload and load their merchandise before and after the sale.
