Edward Connor, on the part the United States, and the hereinafter named chiefs and warriors of the northwestern bands of Shoshonee Indians, on the part of said bands of Indians, and dulyt authorized thereto by them, which treaty is in the words ahd figures towit: Articles of agreement made at Elder Utah Territory, this thirtieth day of July, A D. thousand eight hundred and by between the United States of America, represented by Brigadier General P. Edward Connor, commanding the district of Utah, and James Duane Doty, commissioner, and the northwestern bands of the Shoshonee fodians, represented by their chiefs and warriors Article It is agreed that friendly and ami cable relations shall be re-establishe4 between bands of the Shoshonee Nation, parties there and the United and it is declared that firm and perpetual peace shall be henceforth maintained between the saidfbands and the United 'T' 'ff 5 Abticle H. The treaty concluded at Fort Brid-ger on the 2nd day of July, 1863,1 between the United States and the Shoshonee Nation, being read and fully interpreted and explained to the said chiefs and warriors, they do hereby give their full and free assent to all of the provisions of said and the same are hereby adopted as a part this agreement, and the same shall be binding upon the parties hereto, Abticxe III. Closed. The retail bars were all closed in the City, by order of Hardin, from Saturday night last, until next Richmond Medical Journal. We have received the January number of this Journal a prospectus of which lias been published in the Standard for some weeks past! The number before us contains many interesting and well -written articles, the professional merit of which we do not pretend to decide npon but the high character of the writers wQl entitle them to the attention of the profession. We would especially direct the attention of Medical men to the Journal at this time, that they may commence with it at the beginning. If -they have not already sent on their names.

A negro woman named Ann Harold, was murdered about 10 miles from Norfolk City recently jby. her mother, brother, two sisters and a black man called Charles After she had been beaten to death a billet of wood was seized by one of the parties and the brains of their victim dashed The body was, then stripped of -its clothing by the sisters.
