Saturday The basketball team will lose 6-11 center Greg Dennis for at least four weeks Dennis a senior suffered a fracture to the fifth metatarsal bone on the outside of his right foot It came during a Saturday morning practice as the team prepared for Mondays home opener against George Mason "Yesterday we felt like we were on top of the world said ETSU head coach Alan LeForce "Now it feels like the worlds on top of us Dennis rolled on the foot after intercepting a pass during the practice at Memorial Center but ran back down the floor before realizing it was a serious injury "He said he heard it pop said LeForce "and I knew it was broken then LeForce admittedly the total pessimist said he hoped Dennis would be back by the time the Buccaneers begin their Southern Conference schedule in early January If Dennis has a perfect recovery he could be back for ETSUs much-awaited rematch with North Carolina State and former Buc coach Les Robinson set for Dec 29 in the mini-dome It will be a new experience for the man whos been ETSUs top eun the last three years Dennis-had never suffered a serious basketball injury and never missed a start since coming to ETSU He averaged nearly 20 points a game last year but had started this season slowly on offense storing a combined 23 points in ETSUs opening win over Brigham Young and its narrow -loss to Arizona in the Preseason NIT His
