1 Tyler Morning Telegraph FRIDAY, MARCH 16, 2007 EAST TEXAS FUNERALS Longview Rites Slated For Margarett Hearrell LONGVIEW Services for Margarett Hearrell, 66, Longview, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Church of Faith, Longview, with the Rev. Billy M. McGee officiating. Arrangements are with East Texas Funeral Home, Longview.

Mrs. Hearrell died March 14, 2007, in a local hospital. She was born March 22, 1940, in Calcord, to the late Riley and Lucinda Spears Wiggs. She lived in Longview most of her life and was manager. of Metro Self Storage for 20 years and a member of Church of Faith.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Tom Hearrell, Longview; sons, Robert Mark Hearrell and Billy McGee; daughters, Dixie Walker and Beverly McGee; brothers, J.D. Wiggs and Jay Wiggs; sister, Angie Drew; five grandchildren; and one greatgrandchild. Harmon Undertaking Tyler. Mrs. Wallace died March 11, 2007, in Arlington. She was born June 30, 1932, in Whitehouse and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Stanton High School and Texas College.

She was an Avon representa- WALLACE tive for 30 years and WALLACE a cook for Tyler Independent School District. She was a member of Whitehouse COGIC, where she taught Sunday school, a member of mothers board, an usher for the church and district, and director of Young Adult Choir. She was preceded in death by her husband and one daughter. Survivors include sons, Gary Hill, Dallas, and Charles Edward Hill, Germany; brothers, Ralph and Charlie Paul Hill, both of California; sister, Brenda Campbell, California; seven grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren. Pallbearers are Dennis Mackey, Mitchell Bell, Harlon Bell, Harvey Martin, Ross Willis and Tracy Gross.

She was born Oct. 4, 1934, in Yoakum to the late Clarence and Ella Lewis Byrd. She was a homemaker, and was preceded in death by son, Johnny P. Ballard granddaughter, Laurie LaTour; two sisters; and five brothers. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Johnny P.

Ballard; daughters, Barbara Sales, San Antonio, Carol Nock, Kathy Alexander and Betty Fields, all of Palestine, Linda LaTour, Dayton, Joan Lathrop, Buffalo, and Shirley Ward, Houston; sons, William Lee Ballard, Palestine, and Clarence Thomas Ballard, Arkansas; grandchildren; and greatgrandchildren. Rudy Heard BEN WHEELER Graveside services for Rudy Heard, 84, Texarkana, formerly of Ben Wheeler, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Cathedral in the Pines with Brother Lou Thomas officiating under direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home, Tyler. Mr. Heard died March 15, 2007, at his residence. He was born Oct.

22, 1922, in Ben Wheeler tp' the late Richard Lee and Ettice Heard. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and retired as an insurance businessman HEARD in Texarkana after more than 20 years service. He was a member of United Presbyterian Church of the Redeemer, Texarkana. He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Jeanne Heard; brothers, Dick Heard and Max Heard; and sisters, Jessie Green and Tess Bratton. Survivors include daughter, Dianne Birmingham, Katy; son, Mike Heard, Texarkana; brother, Glenn Heard, Tyler; sister, Pauletta Hardegree, Austin; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was born Sept. 9, 1929, in Beaumont to the late William "Bill" and Emily Elizabeth Milner Williams, She graduated from Tyler High School in 1946 and from Tyler Junior College, where she was one the original Apache Belles.

She lived in Tyler, Jacksonville, and Miami, prior to moving 40 years ago to Lubbock, where she owned Careers Unlimited of Lubbock and was a member of Monterey Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew D. "Andy" Westbrook, and sister, Margaret Chubbock. Survivors include son, Steve Westbrook, DeSoto; and one niece. Tuesday at East View Cemetery, Vernon. Mrs. Brown died March 15, 2007. She was born June 24, 1917, in Bush Knob near Throckmorton the late Frances Niles and Julia Jane Cole Gordon. After marriage, she moved to Throckmorton where she lived for more than 20 years and worked as a dorm mother for San Marcos Baptist Academy for one year.

She moved to Jacksonville, where she was a teacher's aide and substitute teacher in the Jacksonville Independent School District for 11 years. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, Jacksonville, and Mary Martha Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Paul James Brown, on Dec. 1972; sister, Lois Gordon Thomas; and brothers, Clifford Raymond Gordon and Harrell Edwin Gordon. He lived in Ben Wheeler since 1980 and worked for United Technologies-Carrier and was assistant chief steward of the union. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Tompkins. Survivors include his wife, Reta Coffey Tompkins, Ben Wheeler; sons, Kelly Hess Tompkins, Alabama; stepdaughters, Mahlon Johnson, Brownsboro, and Jennifer Kuhn, Plano; father, Clarence Tompkins Alabama; brother, Larry Keith Tompkins, Georgia; sister, Patsy McCormack, Washington; and six grandchildren.

Mr. Berryman died March 12, 2007, in Tyler. He was born June 3, 1933, in Tyler to the late Hoyt Berryman Sr. and Josephine Howell Berryman. Mr.

Berryman was a graduate of Chapel Hill High School and Tyler Junior College and was retired from Kelly-Springfield after 30 years. He was a member of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Sharon Temple Shrine and St. John's Lodge. He was a member of the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1956.

Survivors are his wife, Jackie Smith Berryman of Tyler; daughter, Lee Anne Whitton and husband Steve of Troup; son, Brent Alan Berryman and wife Lynn of Lindale; grandchildren, Bryan Hunt, Brynne Berryman and Christopher Whitton; sisters, Jo Renson of Tyler, and BERRYMAN Sandy Allen of Dallas; brothers, Hoyt Berryman Jr. of Tyler, and Billy Berryman of Pearland. She ANDERSON was a licensed vocational nurse and member of Sunshine Baptist Church and former usher and member of the choir. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister. She attended Bragg Morris High School and was a domestic worker and a member of Duck Creek Baptist Church, where she formerly served as Sunday school superintendent, teacher and member of the choir. She was preceded in death by one brother and sister. Survivors include sons, Lee Adams and the Rev. Robert Adams, both of Dallas; daughters, Rosie Adams, Lindale, Glenda Bell, Dallas, and Laura Adams, Illinois; brother, James McNeal, Dallas; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
