Gary Swaye, a spokesman for Sherman Oaks Community Hospital, said Pryor, 39, remained in serious but stable condition; He said doctors grafted areas on the comedian's shoulders, chest, back, neck, arms and ears.

Pryor was rushed to the hospital's burn unit early last month when he was found wandering near his San Fernando Valley badly burned and screaming in pain. Swaye said skin from the comedian's thighs and calfs were lifted and applied to the burned areas during the operation. "The grafts this morning were on the areas not grafted in the first surgery and areas where the grafts re not accepted," helaid. 'Tne number Spaghetti Night. Thursday, 5-10 p.m.

His friend, Jose Luis Arroyo, also eight, was to undergo heart surgery Thursday at the hospital. Wilfredo, who was bom in San German, entered operating room No. 2 at Columbia-Presbyterian Baby's Hospital about 8 a.m.

and underwent four hours of surgery. "Wilfredo is resting comfortably," Dr. James Malm, chief surgeon, said afterwards. "There are no unusual findings and no complications. The vital signs are Malm will perform similar surgery on Jose, a native of Cabo Rojo, Thursday morning.

"We're a little bit afraid," said Wijfredo's mother, Miguelina, in Spanish minutes after the boy came out of the operating theater. "We have to becalm." Both her and her husband have been by the boy's side since they arrived last Sunday. Jose and his parents arrived with the Cancels. "Wilfredo was crying last night and. kept asking us for water," she said.

"We were nervous, but we couldn't show Wilfredo." The curly-haired Wilfredo had a thumb-sized "muscle bundle" removed from the right ventrical of his heart and a hole between the two chambers of his heart closed up. "The muscle bundle was obstructing the flow of blood to the lungs," said Dr. Welton Gersony, the hospital's chief of pediatric cardiology. Swaye said less grafting was done than the first procedure June 30. He said nearly 75 percent of those grafts were accepted by the damaged tissue.

Swaye said doctors will wait three to five days to see if the grafts are accepted before planning the next phase of treatment. The entertainer was reported to be "excellent" spirits and former football player and actor Jim Brown stayed with Pryor after the surgery. Swaye said Pryor would resume his daily bum care treatment Thursday. Pryor fled screaming from his San Fernando Valley home June 9, a human torch with flames burning off fully half of rtis skin. His entire upper torso, back, chest, arms, neck and parts of his face were charred and doctors gave him a one in three chance of survival.

The cause of the accident is disputed by police and the entertainer lawyer. Ll kl. Model 51 6R Here is how U.S. congressmen representing East Texas voted in the latest tabulations from the June 21 edition of Congressional Quarterly. Congressmen are Sam B.
