I Page 12 JOHNSON CITY PRESS-CHRONICLE Tuesday Morning June 25 1974 For home opener ankees to try again tonight Mo Twin opener spoiled by Tiger romp made the field unplayable and after a rather dry day most of the day yesterday the rains came again forcing the second postponement Nevertheless the Yankees went ahead with a Sunday luncheon to honor area sports celebrities who were to attend the opener as a group The Yankees take a 1-1 record into tonight's game after beating Bristol 10-5 last Friday and losing to the Tigers 4-1 Saturday night at Bristol The brother combination of Jerry and Johnny Narron have collected five of the 13 hits the Yanks got off Bristol pitching in the first two games Jerry clubbed a home run a double and a single in the Friday night game but went 0-for-4 in the Saturday game Brother Johnny who had a single in four trips Friday came back to also blast a home run in game Jerry is a catcher-outfielder and Johnny is the rightfielder Kenneth Kruppa a lefthand
