"3- "Hi Pledging their loyalty to the First Congregational church in its Centennial Expansion Fund canvass, over 300 persons attended the church dinner Wednesday evening at the Riverside hotel. Hostesses from the membership presided at each table, adding to the informal and friendly tone of the affair. Joseph Daly Italian Federation Treasurer, Dies Joseph Daly 63, Santa Cruz resident since his retirement in 1947, died last night at his home, 341 Locust street. Daly was treasurer of the Italian Catholic federation here until the time of his death.

A wholesale grocer in San Jose for a number of years before his retirement, Daly was a native of Italy. In poor health for the last two years, he was ill from the time he returned from a trip to his native country last year. He is survived by his widow, Louise; two sons, Joseph and Frank of San Jose; three brothers, Anthony, Sam and Dominic, and two sisters, Mary Dellacqua and Nancy Agrillo, all of San Jose. Services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday from the Chapel of the Flowers in San Jose, thence to Holy Family church where a requiem mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 9 a.m.

Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday in the mortuary chapel. PH. 5125 Live Oak School Board To Hold Special Meeting Clerk Warren Smith of the Live Oak school board today called a special board meeting for 7:30 p.m. Monday for consideration of the district's proposed building program. The board is slated to take action at Monday's session on a resolution, legally setting April 6 as the date for a bond election.

To set wheels in motion for the election, for permission to bond the Live Oak district to its capacity for construction of a new school plant including a multi-use room and as many classrooms as possible, the trustees also intend to select an inspector and determine the polling place for the election. By bonding to the district's capacity, the board estimates it can raise about $285,000 for immediate start of the building program. FINED $200 ON DRIVING CHARGE Crispin Javien, 43, of 4221 Coast road, yesterday drew a sentence of $200 or 40 days in jail on pleading guilty in municipal court to a charge of drunk driving. MachEachern, 38, of 2830 Los Gatos highway, was arrested on the charge last October 12 by Santa Cruz police. He was represented in the trial, which ended at 8:05 p.m., by Stanford Smith. Secret service aeents. following directions on a crudely drawn map, yesterday found in a lonely mountain ravine counterfeiting equipment they said was used to flood southern Cali fornia with bogus $20 bills.

The map. obtained when agents arrested Clifford Vincent and Clar ence O. last Monday, was of an area of Angeles national for est above nearby La Canada. The equipment, under a rock, was located when officers paced off a specific number of steps from various landmarks. It was wrapped paper and had not been dam aged by recent rains.
