Nelson, whose prospecting company now has three of the best wells in the gas country. The company has drilled six, three of which were dry wells. It will continue prospecting for the purpose developing a big system of wells and locating factories. Coffeyville has the inside lead on this deal for several reasons. The first one is that the company represented by Mr.

Nelson has no other gas wells except those near Coffey ville. The second one is that Mr. Nelson's company is to supply the new industry with gas fuel and it must therefore go where the company wells. The third is that the factory is being sent west by the wealthy officers of the Kansas Oil Gas company in the cast and it will be located under their auspices. So taken altogether Coffeyville has an excellent show to get this new industry.

It is doubtless coming west on account of the gas giving out in the east. The Ladies Guild will give their annual fair and supper in the Mahan building in "West Eighth street next Wayside Lillian Jones. Brooks C. C. Long.
