McNAMAJlA An 8-year-old a boy was drowned in Iho Hudson River near (he foot of Fullon Jlreet early last night when lie lost liis balance and lop- pled into Ihc water while playing with his brother.

Vidim of the tragedy, the first its kind in this area this season, was Christopher J. Wilder, one of i children o( and Mrs. Donald A. Wilder of 430 River St. The family are welfare recipients.

Christopher and his brother, Andrew, 12, had descended the steps on (he concrete river a almost to the water level and wore watching the current as it passed along the channel.
