The LitUe Sisters say that this is very depressing for the other old people in.the home. Work Made Hard. All have to be carried down one flight of stairs to the kitchen and the garbage must be carried up one flight. Since this work is done by one of the old men, an elevator of some kind teems necessary. Also the place where the garbage is placed to await disposal is infected with rats and should be cemented.

An incinerator is desperately needed to do away with the rubbish which collects. The yard "needs repairs, because water is soaking through the present concrete into the boiler room. The boiler room also needs a thor- lon oil tank leaked. The storage tank-for hot water also haa rusted and has had to be replaced. The cellar is in deplorable condition with rusted metal ceiling, falling plaster and useless pipes.

The laundry needs to be tiled since the cement floor is full of holes and the are dirty and cracked. The floor is in really dangerous condition. The old people are doing their best while these conditions remain. They help each other across the worn floors and down the stairs but the work of the tittle Sisters is doubled. In spite of all this, the "little family" spirit pervaees the Home for the Aged and the Little Sisters, besides performing menial tasks, give the old people every pleasure possible.
