Ogrydziak, who was a prominent Republican leader in this city for over a quarter of a century, died yesterday afternoon at the State Hospital following an illness of several months.

He also held the office of deputy fheriff of Luzerne County to which he had been appointed in 1930. Had been an alderman in the 13th Ward since 1926. A resident of 649 Seybert street, he was a political leader of that ward for many years. He maintained his alderman's office at Laurel and Green streets. A native of Hazleton, where he resided all his life, he was the son of the late Casper and Julia SybertsvUle SU 8-3451 Adv.

MRS. JOHN DANO Mrs. John Dano, 53, of 514 Hemlock street, Freeland, died this morning at 10 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Halla-han, Weatherly, RD 2. She had been ill about three months.

Mrs. Dano was born at Sandy Run and prior to her marriage was Susan Kondrech. She was a member of St. Mary's G. C.

Church, Freeland. In addition to her daughter, Mrs. Hallahan, she is survived by her husband, John, and two sons, John, and Thomas, the latter two of Morrisville, Pa. Other survivors are three sisters: Mrs. Margaret Mundrick, Highland; Anna Kondrech, Free-land; Mrs.

Helen Zmitrovich, Bethlehem, and four brothers: Michael, Freeland; John, Haddon-field, N. Andrew, Bloomfield, N. and Steve, Arlington, Texas. There are four grandchildren. Funeral plans are incomplete.

She retired because of ill health five years ago and was a hospital patient since April 13. A native of Ringtown, she was a daughter of the late Richard R. and Harriet Fenstermacher Breisch.

She was graduated from Blooms-burg State Teachers College in 1913 and shortly afterward secured a teaching position in the public schools of Indianapolis. A brother, Joseph, died in 195G. Surviving are two children, Florence, wife of Edward Maranuk, at home; and John E. Ogrydziak, teacher at D. A. Harman Junior High School, residing in West Hazleton.

Two grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters also survive: Mary, of Hazleton; Stanley, Syracuse, New York; Michael, Allentown; Mrs. John Talkowski, Hazleton; Anthony, West Eaton, New York; Edward and Thomas, both of Hazleton.
